Chief Executive Officer
For over 14 years, Ed Mertiri has guided clients toward financial independence through a disciplined investment approach and long-term financial planning.
Ed earned his Master’s Degree from the Zicklin School of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level III candidate as well as a licensed CPA in New York, New Jersey, and Florida.
Before founding Empire State Wealth Advisors Inc Main Street Asset Management LLC in 2016, Ed held positions at Securities America Inc., LPL Financial Services, and JPM Chase.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, reading, community involvement, and spending time with his family.

Greg beganbegan working as an adviser after a career in banking in 1974 before founding Gregory G. Stevens Inc., which would become Stevens & Sweet in 2011.
Greg served as both the Tax Assessor and Tax Collector for the Town of Tuxedo from 1986 - 2017.
Greg is a member of St. Mary's-in-Tuxedo Episcopal Church and is a regular volunteer within the organization. He is a former Tuxedo Park Fire District Commissioner and was a founding member of the Tuxedo Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of tax season, Greg can usually be found on the golf course with his friends, or spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He began his accounting career with the intention of joining a large national firm but ultimately chose a local CPA practice, where he could work more closely with clients and deliver more personalized guidance.
Peter specializes in tax resolution and compliance matters, with a strong emphasis on integrating those solutions into broader financial and investment planning strategies. His approach helps clients not only resolve tax issues, but also put structures in place that support long-term financial stability and smarter investment decisions.
